The Gospel Project
Summary
What is the Gospel Project?
The Gospel Project is a three-year mission (2026/27/28), gospel initiative designed to reach the city of Guildford with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, through intercessory prayer, spiritual warfare, evangelism, and the establishment of enduring Kingdom witness across the city.
Why Does It Exist?
The project exists because the Gospel must be preached to every city intentionally, not assumed. Despite churches, traditions, and history, large portions of the population remain unreached or untouched by the living Gospel. In the face of the Gospel’s national decline in the UK—once the cradle of world evangelization—this project reclaims the mandate and calls the Church back to visible, public, and compassionate Christian witness.
How Does It Serve?
The Gospel Project serves the city by:
-
Mobilizing believers into prayer, intercession, and spiritual responsibility
-
Proclaiming Christ publicly, relationally, and joyfully
-
Raising and training local teams for evangelism and discipleship
-
Bringing unity of purpose without institutional control
-
Establishing foundations for long-term spiritual fruit, not short-term activity
What Does It Aim to Accomplish?
The project aims to:
-
See souls saved-reached, hearts transformed, and lives discipled
-
Establish gospel presence across every ward of the city
-
Form strong, mature believers rooted in Scripture and obedience
-
Leave behind structures of faith, prayer, and mission that remain after the project timeline
-
Honour Christ by ensuring the city has been faithfully and clearly reached with the Gospel
