Meet The Founder — Fernando Jimenez
Vision • Calling • Journey
You are welcome here. This place was created with you in mind.
The Guildford Gospel Project did not begin as an idea, but in the quiet place of prayer—where something that had grown distant began to be restored.
My name is Fernando Jiménez. While celebrating my 67th birthday in Singapore, I came to a simple but honest realization: my faith had become quiet. I was present, but not fruitful in the way I knew was possible. Something had faded—not belief, but the fire within it.
When I returned to the UK, I made a decision—to seek God again, not out of duty, but with intention. I began to rise early, setting time aside for prayer, asking the Lord to restore what had been lost. The words of Revelation became personal: “You have left your first love… do the first works.”
In that place, something changed. I found that the fire was not in doing more, but in returning to God’s presence. And the “first works” became clear again—to love people and to share the Gospel in a simple, real way.
From that place of quiet and consistent prayer, this project began to grow. The Guildford Gospel Project is not a programme. It is a simple mission—to reach people, house by house, with clarity, consistency, and faith. It is not complicated, but it is alive.
I am simply taking a step forward, and inviting others to walk with me. Some will pray, some will serve, some will support—but every part matters, and every step has value.
As I’ve spoken with others, I’ve realised this is not just my story. Many people, especially later in life, carry a quiet sense that there is more—that something is not finished, that there is still strength to give, but not always a clear place to step in. This project is an invitation for them too.
You don’t need to start over—you simply need to step in again. There is still purpose, still strength, and still a place to serve. And there is a quiet joy in being useful again, in seeing lives touched, and in knowing that what you do still matters.
If you find yourself in that place, you are welcome to come alongside us. If you want to see lives changed and the Gospel lived out simply and clearly, then step in. Walk with us.
Together, we build for His glory.
Fernando
