The Apostolic Project
Summary
What is the Apostolic Project?
The Apostolic Project is a three-year mission (2026/27/28), gospel initiative designed to reach the city of Guildford with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, through intercessory prayer, spiritual warfare, evangelism, and the establishment of enduring Kingdom witness across the city.
Why Does It Exist?
The project exists because the Gospel must be preached to every city intentionally, not assumed. Despite churches, traditions, and history, large portions of the population remain unreached or untouched by the living Gospel. In the face of the Gospel’s national decline in the UK—once the cradle of world evangelization—this project reclaims the mandate and calls the Church back to visible, public, and compassionate Christian witness.
How Does It Serve?
The Apostolic Project serves the city by:
-
Mobilizing believers into prayer, intercession, and spiritual responsibility
-
Proclaiming Christ publicly, relationally, and joyfully
-
Raising and training local teams for evangelism and discipleship
-
Bringing unity of purpose without institutional control
-
Establishing foundations for long-term spiritual fruit, not short-term activity
What Does It Aim to Accomplish?
The project aims to:
-
See souls saved-reached, hearts transformed, and lives discipled
-
Establish gospel presence across every ward of the city
-
Form strong, mature believers rooted in Scripture and obedience
-
Leave behind structures of faith, prayer, and mission that remain after the project timeline
-
Honour Christ by ensuring the city has been faithfully and clearly reached with the Gospel

Year 1: Preparation
A Foundational Year of Formation
Year 1
NATURE & PURPOSE
The Six Foundational Pillars of Preparation
The six pillars form the teaching backbone of the preparation year and are taught continuously through house gatherings in different homes across the week as groups are formed.
This year is dedicated to spiritual formation, biblical teaching, and internal strengthening.
The focus is not public expansion, but preparing people, teams, and structures to carry the Gospel with clarity, authority, and unity.
Purpose:
To prepare believers spiritually, biblically, and relationally for effective and enduring Gospel engagement.
Year 1
STRATEGIC COMMITMENTS
House Gatherings as Formation Centres
Year 1 is carried primarily through house gatherings, which function as teaching and training centres.
These gatherings provide the environment where teaching, prayer, and alignment take place consistently.
Strategic Commitments:
• Support of a minimum of 10 local churches
• Establishment of 10 house gatherings
Outcome:
A spiritually prepared and united base of believers, churches, and teams, equipped with shared foundations and ready for visible Gospel engagement across the city.
The Six Foundational Pillars
Prayer
Developing personal and corporate life with God.
Prayer is the foundation of all spiritual life and mission. Although prayer was practiced, the disciples realised they did not truly know how to pray and asked Jesus to teach them. This raises a simple but vital question: Do you know how to pray—and were you ever taught how?
Intercession
Learning to stand in the gap for the city, the lost, and the Church.
Intercession is often assumed, yet rarely understood or taught. While many pray, fewer understand what it means to stand before God on behalf of others. This raises an important question: Do we truly know what intercession is—or have we simply taken it for granted?
Spiritual Warfare
Understanding spiritual authority, resistance, and victory in Christ.
Spiritual warfare is often surrounded by assumptions, fear, or extremes.
Many speak about it, yet few understand its biblical foundation and proper place in the Christian life. This raises an essential question: Do we know what spiritual warfare truly is—or are we acting on presumption rather than truth?
Evangelism
Learning how to share the Gospel with wisdom, dignity, and joy.
Evangelism is often reduced to activity or technique, rather than understood as a shared life in the Gospel. While the message remains the same, the way it is carried matters deeply. This invites an honest question: Do we know how to share the Gospel with clarity, dignity, and genuine care for people?
Consolidation
Learning how to receive, disciple, and care for new believers.
Consolidation is one of the least practiced and least understood aspects of Gospel work. While many focus on reaching people, far fewer are equipped to care for, disciple, and establish new believers. This raises a crucial question: What happens to people after they respond to the Gospel?
Teams
Forming and aligning Gospel teams for cooperation, accountability, and future outreach.
Jesus never sent His disciples alone; He sent them in teams. Yet many attempt to serve and reach others in isolation rather than in shared responsibility. This raises a simple question: Have you ever gone out as part of a team?
